Two-Day Educational Masterclass
For the first time, AEMIS is coming to Lisbon.
Following our international educational programmes in Prague, we are expanding to a new European destination with a dedicated two-day masterclass in Regional Nerve Blocks in Emergency Medicine, as part of the Synergy Masterclass Series.
The programme combines focused clinical teaching with hands-on training, with a strong emphasis on the practical use of regional anaesthesia in acute and emergency care.
Regional Nerve Blocks
in Emergency Medicine
Following our international educational programmes in Prague, AEMIS is expanding to a new European destination with a dedicated two-day masterclass in Regional Nerve Blocks in Emergency Medicine, as part of the Synergy Masterclass Series.
The programme combines focused clinical teaching with hands-on training, with a strong emphasis on the practical use of regional anaesthesia in acute and emergency care.
Focused on Acute Pain. Built for Emergency Medicine.
Regional nerve blocks are an important tool in the management of acute pain in emergency medicine.
This masterclass is designed to strengthen the clinical knowledge and practical confidence required to provide timely, targeted analgesia in the acute-care setting.
The programme will explore the role of regional anaesthesia in managing pain associated with fractures, lacerations and other urgent presentations.
Through a focused and clinically relevant curriculum, participants will examine how regional nerve blocks can support effective analgesia while contributing to a safer and more patient-centred emergency care experience.
From Anatomy to Clinical Practice
The programme will cover regional nerve block applications involving the trunk, upper limb and lower limb, with an emphasis on clinically relevant techniques for emergency care.
Trunk
Regional techniques relevant to acute pain management involving the trunk.
Upper Limb
Regional nerve block techniques for injuries and acute presentations involving the upper extremity.
Lower Limb
Regional techniques for injuries and painful conditions affecting the lower extremity.
- Clinically appropriate block selection
- Anatomical understanding
- Procedural decision-making
- Safe integration of regional analgesia into emergency practice
- Patient-centred acute pain management
Turning Knowledge Into Practice
AEMIS courses are built around practical, clinically relevant learning.
The masterclass combines educational sessions with hands-on training designed to strengthen procedural understanding and confidence.
Participants will connect anatomy and clinical decision-making with practical techniques, supporting the safe and effective use of regional nerve blocks in emergency medicine.
Understand the decision.
Practice the technique.
Advancing Acute Pain Management
Regional nerve blocks can provide targeted analgesia for selected patients and clinical situations, helping physicians manage acute pain with greater precision while supporting a patient-centred approach to care.
This masterclass aims to advance the capability of emergency physicians to manage acute pain with:
What Will You Learn?
Designed for Emergency & Acute-Care Physicians
This masterclass is intended for physicians who want to strengthen their knowledge and practical confidence in regional analgesia.
Focused. Practical. Clinically Relevant.
Clinical Learning
Focused education based on real acute-care applications.
Anatomical Understanding
A strong foundation for selecting appropriate regional techniques.
Hands-On Training
Practical learning designed to strengthen procedural confidence.
Emergency Medicine Focus
Designed around the clinical realities of acute and emergency care.
A New AEMIS Destination
For the first time, AEMIS brings its practical approach to emergency medicine education to Lisbon, Portugal.
After Prague, Lisbon marks the next step in the growth of our international educational programmes — creating another opportunity for physicians to learn, practice and connect.
